A creative type since a very young age, I was always drawing, painting and sewing. I discovered my love for photography as a student majoring in Fine Arts at James Madison University. It was before the days of digital cameras. Many hours were spent in the dark room but I love that I got started with film! After graduation I went to work as a graphic designer, but over time one after another of my friends asked me to photograph their weddings. A few short years later I decided to pursue my passion for photography more seriously and returned to college. I have now been a professional photographer for over 20 years.

A little bit about my personal life. Currently I enjoy oil painting, cooking and gardening. Most of my oil paintings are landscapes inspired by my travels. Ask me and I'll be happy to share more about my creative projects. If you are wondering about my name. I was born in Ukraine. My family immigrated to the US when I was 9 years old. In my spare time I like to be outside as much as possible, especially on a nice day. My favorite activities are paddleboarding, biking, rollerblading and exploring new places.

The very best part about photography for me is meeting different people and building new relationships, not to mention always discovering beautiful new places. I love it when the couples whose weddings I photographed reach out to me to do baby bump and family sessions or families that come back year after year and I see their kids growing up in front of my lens. I'm truly blessed to do what I love!
